Immersion Chiller, cooling and heating with unprecedented possibilities
A Stainless Steel Immersion Chiller from Daussiny Laser Welding provides efficient cooling- and heating of a vast variety of liquids. By placing a plate pack of double-embossed Pillowplates in a reservoir filled with liquid, the medium in the plates can then cool or heat the liquid in the container.

A major advantage of this method of heat transfer is that heavily contaminated liquids can also be cooled (or heated) without the amount of heat transfer decreasing or the heat exchanger becoming dirty. The design ensures that the plates are easy to clean and maintain. With an Immersion Chiller, a large energy buffer in the form of a cold or hot liquid can easily build up.

Agitation
Agitation can be used to create turbulence at the surface of the Pillowplates, this will greatly improve the heat transfer coefficient of the process. An air agitation system is often used so that the heat transfer is doubled. Agitation can be created by using a recirculation pump, air injection or an agitator.

Immersion Chillers from Daussiny Laser Welding are all custom-made and theoretically everything is possible. A Stainless Steel Immersion Chiller, including or excluding tank, is available in all sizes and capacities

Combination Immersion Chiller and Ice Bank
You can also choose a combination of an Ice Bank and Immersion Chiller, an immersion cooler brewing. During the day, the Ice Bank functions as an Immersion Chiller, while at night, when there is no consumption, the Ice Bank builds up ice.

Specifications

Stainless steel Immersion Chillers from Daussiny Laser Welding are suitable for heating and cooling with a wide range of cooling and heating agents such as water, steam, glycol, Freon, NH3, CO2, and much more. Immersion Chillers for cooling can be supplied for flooded and pump systems. For Freon, these are also available as a DX (direct evaporation) system.

The double-embossed Pillowplates are mainly manufactured from RVS304L and RVS316L, but can also be manufactured from SMO254 for special uses such as, for example, seawater. The temperature of the cooled water is 1°C or 0.5°C. The frames are also custom-made in accordance with the specific requirements that the customer has. These frames optimally match the design of the plates together with the inlet and outlet manifolds
